I was revisiting my notes and comments on Gary Keller and Jay Papasan’s book The One Thing this weekend. One thing stood out (see what I did there?) – how easy it is to forget things that we read, or the notes we take, or the ideas we have.
If we don’t capture the notes or thoughts in the first place, we’ll never remember them. Our brains are terrible for that. Having a notebook or some specific place to capture your thoughts and ideas is essential to your progress as a creative professional.
Today, do just one thing – create a system for capturing your ideas and your thoughts. A Moleskine notebook, Notion, Evernote, voice memos – it doesn’t matter what as long as you use it.
