I had the chance to go on a three-day backpacking trip in the Uintas this week. We hiked in 10 miles to the Lower Red Castle Lake. It was an amazing trip with beautiful weather and not a bad view in sight.
Best of all, there was no cell reception. The phone was only used to take photos and capture thoughts and impressions as they came. And there were many.
Every so often we have to get outside, away from everything else, and hit the reset button. We need to turn off the distractions of our normal day, the inundation of notifications and inboxes and feeds.
The clarity that comes is incredible. It’s been too long since I’d taken a break from it all.
Get out there. Turn everything else off. See what clarity comes to your mind about your life and your work.
