One of the most paralyzing examples of the resistance at work: doubt.
I didn’t write the last two days. I was doubting myself. Wondering if it mattered. Questioning my reasons for writing each day. Wondering if I was doing it for the right reasons.
I even let that doubt go past one day. Generally I recommend that you don’t miss your daily progress habit more than once. If I didn’t sit down and force myself to write today I’d be even closer to giving up altogether.
I don’t want to give up though. And neither do you. Sure, it gets hard sometimes, the doubt or fear or criticism or whatever gets to you and stops you from progressing and becoming.
The cure is to ignore it. Stop feeding the resistance. Sit down and write. Do the work.
