It’s more than a week into the new year and decade.
Did you set goals or resolutions for the year?
Do you have a vision for what you want your life to be like a year from now, and what changes you’d like to make in order to turn that vision into a reality?
Have you already faced some resistance in making those changes? Or even considered giving up?
Here’s the thing – missing one day doesn’t mean you’ve failed.
If it’s hard it’s because change is hard. Breaking old habits and creating new ones, finding time to add new things to your routine, making sacrifices of diet or sleep or your personal comfort, all of these things are hard.
Just because something is hard doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
Get resourceful. Get up tomorrow and try again. Forget the shortcomings of the past, learn from what worked or didn’t work, and try again.
If what you’re after is worth pursuing, then it’s worth taking the time to think about why you want this change. What you’re willing to do to get it. What resources are available. Maybe even breaking it into smaller chunks.
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time…
If things are going well then that’s AWESOME! Take an opportunity today to reach out to someone who might need your help, who might be struggling. Helping them will bring even more fulfillment into your life.
