My mantra for the last few years has been to Make Progress Every Day. I heard another version of this principle yesterday on the Tim Ferriss Show with guest Ed Zschau. Ed said the following as his one piece of advice for listeners:
Do what you like doing, do it the best way you know how, and good things will happen.
I’ve found it to be a true principle. The hard part is that it requires patience. The path of a creative is long and winding and we never really get the clarity we want about where the path is leading us and what is around each corner.
But there’s a promise there if we stick it out and work hard with integrity – good things will happen.
